Collaborations
Our goal at Arbor Assays is to serve the needs of the research community by supplying products of high quality and applicability to current research trends. In addition to our own in-house product development efforts we accomplish this goal through two additional mechanisms. First, we license technologies of interest from Universities, Research Institutions and Pharmaceutical Companies, and second, we collaborate with scientists to produce products independently that we are unable to license from the research community. We are not interested in licensing or collaborating on products that are widely available to the research community (what are known as “me to” products), instead our goal is to provide unique products to serve niche and emerging research areas.
Licensing
Arbor Assays licensing team has many years of experience licensing research products. We can quickly negotiate an agreement through your institution's technology transfer office to make your reagent or technology available. Partnering with Arbor Assays offers several benefits. A license agreement can generate additional research funds and relieves you from the burden of corresponding with individuals requesting kits or reagents. The costs associated with the production, packaging, and shipment of reagents becomes Arbor Assays’ responsibility. Licensing to Arbor Assays does not restrict you from continuing to supply your kit or reagent to colleagues or collaborators if you so choose.
Product Partnership
Arbor Assays believes that one way to obtain innovative products is by collaborating with investigators. If you have a technique to measure or detect a specific analyte in an area of mutual interest, Arbor Assays can work with you to develop a commercial kit to measure the analyte at no cost to you. Arbor Assays will take your procedure and make sure that it can be manufactured, stored, shipped and used in a reproducible format. Our objective is to work with each individual researcher and institution to establish an arrangement that is mutually beneficial. If you have an idea for a technology or kit to quantify an antigen of biological interest please contact us for additional information.
