Recommended for peroxidase-based enzyme immunoassays. Upon oxidation, TMB forms a water-soluble blue reaction product that can be measured spectrophotometrically at 605 nm. Upon acidification, the reaction product becomes yellow with an absorbance peak at 450 nm.
